Job summary

Jewson in Northampton is seeking a proactive Key Account Manager to nurture and grow our large key accounts across the branch network. You will manage estimates, orders and deliveries while building strong relationships with customer procurement teams, project managers and site agents.

Based around Northampton, this role requires regular site visits, proactive management of the order lifecycle, and collaboration with internal teams to prioritise customer needs and deliver on time.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales, account management or customer support.
• Awareness of margins, rebates, delivery charges, and credit processes.
• Clear communication across phone, email and in-person; ability to build relationships with customers at all levels.
• Project coordination, prioritisation and multitasking skills.
• Full UK Driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow large key accounts.
• Build relationships with procurement teams,Project Managers and Site Agents.
• Be proactive, with regular site visits and customer check-ins.
• Follow up and requote projects to meet revenue, margin and growth targets across assigned customers.
• Manage the full order lifecycle — inputting orders, monitoring fulfilment, and ensuring timely deliveries with branches and logistics teams.
• Source non-standard or bespoke product requirements and liaise with suppliers for availability, pricing and delivery.
• Work with branches to prioritise orders and align with site schedules and delivery needs.
• Act as day-to-day operational contact for allocated housebuilder sites, managing build progress.
• Provide specification & product data, including data sheets.
