Job summary

Goodwood Estate in West Sussex is looking for a Kennels Bar Assistant to join a close‑knit, professional team. You’ll deliver warm, intuitive service, serve classic favourites and cocktails, and help create the relaxed yet refined atmosphere that keeps members and guests coming back.

What you’ll do: deliver attentive service, build rapport, confidently serve drinks, keep the bar and back‑of‑house areas clean, and support the Bar Manager.

Qualifications

• A natural passion for hospitality and great service.
• Confidence communicating with a wide range of people.
• Attention to detail and a positive attitude.
• Previous bar or customer-facing hospitality experience is desirable.
• Cocktail making experience is an advantage but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly, attentive service that feels personal and memorable.
• Build genuine rapport with members and guests.
• Confidently serve drinks and share knowledge of the menu.
• Keep the bar and back-of-house areas clean, organised and well presented.
• Stay informed about events across the Estate to enhance guest experience.
• Support the Bar Manager and wider team with a proactive, can-do approach.
• Work in line with licensing, health & safety requirements.
