Provntalent is recruiting a Market Data Platform Engineer to design and scale market data infrastructure in a trading environment. You will build data pipelines, optimise time-series storage and deliver high-performance data services for trading, research and engineering teams.

The role emphasizes hands-on development with KDB+ and time-series databases, collaboration with stakeholders and contributing to platform evolution in a data-intensive setting.

Qualifications

• Experience with KDB+ and q in a market data environment.
• Strong understanding of tick data and time-series databases.
• Experience building market data platforms or related infrastructure.
• Familiarity with real-time data feeds and third-party data providers.
• Knowledge of data modelling, query optimisation and performance tuning.
• Experience supporting trading, quantitative or data-intensive environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable market data solutions using KDB+.
• Build and maintain pipelines for internal and external data sources.
• Design schemas and storage approaches for high-volume time-series data.
• Develop reusable data services, APIs and functions for internal users.
• Optimise query performance, caching and data retrieval across large datasets.
• Collaborate with trading, research and engineering to deliver reliable, high-performance data solutions.
• Contribute to the ongoing design and development of the market data platform.
