Job summary

Data Intellect Limited is seeking a kdb+ Developer to join our hybrid team delivering high-performance time-series solutions for capital markets. You will collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements, build and test robust applications, and support delivery alongside senior developers.

Ideal candidates have hands-on kdb+ experience, strong problem-solving skills, and familiarity with Unix/Linux environments.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on kdb+ development experience.
• Solid understanding of q language and time-series data structures.
• Experience working in Unix/Linux environments.
• Strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with software development methodologies and the SDLC.
• Comfortable working independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Excellent communication skills to explain complex systems to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Prior experience of working in Capital Markets/Investment Banking is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with business users to define new application requirements.
• Developing, testing, and maintaining clean, performant code for client applications.
• Supporting project delivery alongside Project Managers and senior developers.
• Working as part of a close-knit team to deliver solutions on time and on budget.
• Analysing large-scale time-series data and generating actionable reports.
• Mentoring junior developers and contributing to a culture of continuous learning.
