Job summary

Data Intellect is seeking an experienced kdb+ developer to join our hybrid London-based team. You will work on large-scale time-series data, define requirements with business users, and deliver high-performance client applications.

Candidate will have 2+ years of hands-on kdb+ development, solid q language knowledge, Unix/Linux experience, and strong communication skills. The role offers global collaboration, paid training, and opportunities to progress within a leading kdb+ consultancy.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on kdb+ development experience.
• Solid understanding of q language and time-series data structures.
• Experience working in Unix/Linux environments.
• Strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with software development methodologies and the SDLC.
• Comfortable working independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Excellent communication skills to explain complex systems to stakeholders.
• Prior capital markets or investment banking exposure is advantageous but not required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with business users to define new application requirements.
• Developing, testing, and maintaining clean, performant code for client applications.
• Supporting project delivery alongside Project Managers and senior developers.
• Working as part of a close-knit team to deliver solutions on time and on budget.
• Analysing large-scale time-series data and generating actionable reports.
• Mentoring junior developers and contributing to a culture of continuous learning.
