Job summary

Coherent Corp. in Scotland is seeking a Junior Software GUI Engineer to develop Windows desktop applications using C#, WPF, XAML, and .NET. You will work on customer-facing interfaces, diagnostics tools, and engineering utilities within a multidisciplinary team.

The role covers the full software lifecycle from concept through implementation, verification, release, and long-term support, in an environment combining software, electronics, optics, firmware, and systems engineering.

Qualifications

• Proven degree in CS/Software/Engineering or related field.
• Experience building desktop GUI apps in industrial/scientific env.
• Strong C# programming and Windows UI (WPF/XAML) knowledge.
• Knowledge of MVVM pattern and .NET platform.A0

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Windows desktop GUI applications using C#, WPF, XAML, and .NET.
• Apply MVVM to create scalable, testable desktop apps.
• Create user interfaces for configuring and controlling laser systems.
• Collaborate with firmware/electronics teams to integrate GUI with hardware.
