Job summary

Britannia Row Productions Limited in Weybridge/Chessington is seeking a Junior Warehouse Technician for the Cables and Mains Department. The role is permanent/full-time (35 hours/week, 5 in 7) with a salary of £27,744.

You will assist in equipment preparation and de-preparation, ensuring time-critical operations are carried out to high standards. You will report to the Head of Department and may need to work extended hours during busy periods.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 GCSEs including Maths and English.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Appetite for learning with a can-do attitude.
• Ability to work efficiently, including extended hours and some weekends.

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare equipment such as cables, power distros, isolation transformers and other department gear.
• Test, clean, remove tape, recoil, loom and store cables pre/post-hire.
• Report damages to equipment on return from projects.
• Ensure proper storage and labeling of equipment.
• In-service inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment (PAT) – training provided.

Permanent/Full Time, 35 hours per week, 5 in 7 days

Salary: £27,744

We have an exciting position as a Junior Warehouse Technician, or someone with experience to join our Cables and Mains Department at Britannia Row Productions Ltd. We are a world-class audio rental company supplying high-end audio equipment and skilled audio engineers to global music tours, sporting and corporate events. Part of the US based Clair Global group of companies, our business and impressive client list is growing, and we are seeking high caliber warehouse staff to participate and contribute to our continued success.

Reporting directly to the Head of Department you will assist in the preparation and de-preparation of equipment and ensure the smooth running of the department within the warehouse. Everything we do is time-critical, so the ability to work efficiently and sometimes for extended hours is essential whilst maintaining very high standards. The right person for this role will be a great team player.

What will you do?

• Cleaning and preparing equipment such as cables, power distros, isolation transformers and any other department equipment
• Testing, cleaning, removing tape, recoil, loom and put away all cables pre and post-hire
• Checking for and reporting any damages to equipment upon return from projects
• Ensuring that equipment is correctly stored and labelled
• In-service inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment (PAT) (training provided by Britannia Row)
• Delegating tasks within the department to apprentices, warehouse operatives, and local crew
• Monitoring emails and Finesse for any changes and update to jobs being prepped
• Overseeing and quality control for warehouse operatives working in the department
• Communicating shortages or other issues/concerns to Head of Department, Warehouse

Manager & Operations Department

• Stock control using current rental management software
• To fully comply with Health and Safety legislation and procedures, including reporting accidents etc.
• Any other work deemed necessary for the smooth running of the departments and warehouse

What Skills And Experience We Are Looking For

• You will have a minimum of 5 GCSEs, including Maths and English
• A passion for technical work with a technical brain to match

• The ability to work efficiently and, on occasion, for extended hours and some weekends during our busy periods

• Our operating hours are 8am to 8pm Monday to Sunday. Standard working hours are 35 hours per week, 10am to 6pm, five out of seven days, Monday to Sunday with an unpaid break of 60 minutes. You will be expected to work some shifts (8am-4pm and 12pm-8pm) and you may be required to work a reasonable amount of paid overtime.
