Job description

Junior Videographer
Hook Norton
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: Up to £ 30,000 per annum
Hours: 40 per week

Our head offices based in the beautiful village of Hook Norton near Banbury. Here you will find our teams of finance, HR, purchasing, marketing & creative that support all of our locations across the Thomas Franks family. There is ample parking space available when visiting.

We're looking for a creative, enthusiastic Junior Videographer to join our Marketing & Communications department, working closely alongside our Senior Videographer and wider marketing team.

You'll travel across our locations, capturing brilliant food, talented chefs, exciting events and the people who make Thomas Franks special. From short-form social content to brand films, client stories and campaign videos, you'll help bring our business to life through engaging, high-quality video.

This is a hands-on role offering the opportunity to learn from an experienced videographer, develop your technical and creative skills, and take increasing ownership of projects as your confidence grows.

We're looking for someone with a great eye for content, a willingness to get stuck in and the ambition to grow with us.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Working closely with our Senior Videographer to plan, shoot and edit content, supporting larger productions while developing the confidence to lead smaller projects independently.
  • Filming and editing engaging video content for social media, our website, marketing campaigns and internal communications.
  • Capturing food, hospitality experiences, chefs, colleagues, clients and events across our locations.
  • Producing short-form content for Instagram, LinkedIn and other digital platforms.
  • Supporting the creation of brand films, case studies, interviews and promotional videos.
  • Collaborating with the wider marketing team to develop creative concepts and bring ideas to life.
  • Managing footage, organising content libraries and supporting post-production.
  • Helping us experiment with new formats, techniques and creative approaches.
  • Occasionally supporting photography and other content creation projects.

What We're Looking For

  • Some experience in videography and video editing, whether through employment, freelance work, education or personal projects.
  • Confidence using editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut Pro.
  • A good understanding of composition, lighting, sound and visual storytelling.
  • An eye for engaging social media content and emerging digital trends.
  • A creative mindset, attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
  • The confidence to work independently on smaller shoots and collaborate with colleagues at all levels.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Flexibility to travel to different locations and attend occasional events outside normal working hours.

Experience in food, hospitality or commercial content creation would be an advantage, but isn't essential. We're much more interested in your creativity, potential and enthusiasm than an extensive CV.

Benefits

  • Wider wallet scheme (discounts at major retailers, restaurants, gyms etc).
  • Volunteers leave - up to one day per year.
  • Enhanced maternity, paternity and adoptive leave.
  • Cycle to work scheme.
  • Recommend a friend bonus.
  • Unrivalled individual training and development.
  • Well established apprenticeship programme.
  • Team & company social events.
  • Employee assistance programme.
  • Workplace pension.
  • Excellent career progression within a leading independent contract caterer.
