Job summary

DUAL Corporate Risks Limited in London is seeking an entry-level underwriting support role to assist throughout the underwriting lifecycle, from triage and preliminary research to quotation, binding, policy administration and monitoring. The role is London office-based with full-time attendance expected.

Responsibilities include supporting underwriters, organizing submissions, preparing files and summaries, and monitoring data quality and controls.

Qualifications

• Good Excel skills, including formulas, sorting, filtering and structured datasets; competent in Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Strong written English and ability to handle detailed financial, contractual and transactional information.
• Strong academic record; a degree is preferred though no specific subject is required.
• Insurance or financial-services experience is useful but not required; additional language skills may be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Underwriting and transaction support: assist through assessment, quotation, binding and post-bind management of transactions.
• Receive, record and organise submissions; check completeness and obtain missing information.
• Prepare underwriting files, transaction summaries, indications, quotations and endorsements; track subjectivities, conditions and approvals.
• Maintain clear underwriting records and support pre-bind controls, peer review and four-eyes approach.
• Research and preliminary analysis of companies, banks, sovereigns, sectors and countries.
• Collect and organise financial statements, credit ratings, market information and transaction documents.
• Undertake preliminary financial, commercial and country-risk analysis under guidance.
• Monitor developments affecting insured transactions and distinguish verified facts from third-party opinions.
