Job summary

Bullet Express in Bothwell is seeking a Junior Transport Operator to join our Operations Team. This entry-level role offers hands-on training to develop into a Transport Operator, with support from an experienced team.

You do not need previous transport experience; we value confidence, organisation and a proactive attitude. Full training will cover day-to-day transport planning, paperwork, and using our Transport Management System.

Qualifications

• Previous transport or logistics experience is desirable but is not essential; full training will be provided.
• Confident and comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced office environment.
• Good communication skills and comfortable speaking to drivers and colleagues.
• Organised and able to manage several tasks at the same time.
• Willing to learn new systems and processes.
• Reliable and a team player.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the day-to-day running of the transport office.
• Answer incoming telephone calls and deal with general enquiries.
• Communicate with drivers throughout the day and assist with queries and updates.
• Assist with the preparation and completion of transport paperwork.
• Scan and process Proof of Deliveries (PODs) and other transport documentation.
• Update information on the internal Transport Management System (TMS).
• Use Microsoft Office for general administration, reports and tasks.
• Assist with driver briefings and debriefings.
• Help ensure paperwork and records are completed accurately and filed correctly.
