Job summary

Penguin Recruitment in Cambridge is seeking a Junior Town Planner to join a growing planning team. You will assist with a range of planning applications and research, working closely with experienced planners and clients.

The role offers hybrid working, strong training and development opportunities, and support towards RTPI chartership as you progress within a leading property consultancy.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Town Planning or related subject.
• Ideally working towards MRTPI or chartership.
• Some planning experience across consultancy, local government or similar.
• Organised, proactive and commercially aware.
• Strong written and analytical communication skills.
• Eager to develop technical planning knowledge and career.

Responsibilities

• Assist with a wide range of planning applications and development projects.
• Undertake planning research and provide support on planning matters.
• Prepare statements, reports and other documentation.
• Support senior colleagues with client instructions and project delivery.

Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a leading property and land consultancy in the appointment of a Junior Town Planner to join their growing planning team in Cambridge.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious planning professional looking to develop their career within a well-established consultancy. The successful candidate will gain exposure to a varied portfolio of projects, working closely with experienced planners, landowners, developers and other property professionals.

The Role

• Assist with a wide range of planning applications and development projects.

• A confident communicator with strong written and analytical skills.
