Job summary

Penguin Recruitment is seeking a Junior Town Planner to join the planning team in Cambridge. You will be involved in a wide range of planning applications and development projects, gaining exposure to diverse sectors under the guidance of experienced planners.

The successful candidate will develop their planning knowledge and career toward MRTPI, in a collaborative, growing consultancy offering hybrid working and strong training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Town Planning or related subject.
• Ideally working towards MRTPI or keen to progress towards chartership.
• Some relevant planning experience (consultancy/local government/other).
• Organised, proactive and commercially aware.

Responsibilities

• Assist with a wide range of planning applications and development projects.

• Assist with the preparation of planning statements, reports and other documentation.
• Support senior colleagues with client instructions and project delivery.
• Liaise with local planning authorities, consultants and other stakeholders.

• Contribute to the continued growth and success of the planning team.

The Role

As a Junior Town Planner, you will:

• Assist with a wide range of planning applications and development projects.

About You

• A confident communicator with strong written and analytical skills.

• Ambitious and motivated to progress within a growing consultancy.
