Job summary

Retail Human Resources plc in the Jersey department is seeking a Junior Technologist to own the product area from first fit through production and delivery. You will collaborate with Design, Buying, Merchandising and suppliers to manage fit sessions, approve garments and ensure quality and grading standards.

You will be analytical, commercially aware and highly organised, with experience interpreting returns data and driving improvements. Salary is £35,000 with a comprehensive benefits package.

As a Junior Technologist within the Jersey department, you'll take ownership of your product area from first fit through to production and delivery. Working closely with Design, Buying, Merchandising and suppliers, you'll manage fit sessions, approve garments, maintain quality and grading standards, review test reports and ensure products meet both technical and commercial expectations. You'll assess supplier capability, monitor returns and quality performance, conduct store visits to identify improvements, and support the development of commercially successful products that deliver an exceptional customer experience while protecting brand standards.

We're looking for someone with a minimum of three years' technical experience within jersey or apparel, ideally gained with a fashion retailer or supplier. You'll have a strong understanding of garment fit, construction, grading, testing and fabric performance, alongside the ability to confidently communicate technical feedback to suppliers and cross-functional teams. You'll be analytical, commercially aware and highly organised, with experience interpreting returns data, assessing product risk and driving continuous improvements. Most importantly, you'll enjoy working collaboratively in a fast-paced fashion environment and be passionate about delivering great-quality products.
