Oakland seeks an entry-level Technical Advisory Consultant to join our Futures program and progressive National Security team. You will learn modern engineering practices, work with a broad set of technologies, and contribute to projects with real-world impact from day one.

From mentoring with experienced engineers to hands-on project work, you’ll develop skills and confidence, benefiting from internal initiatives and a supportive technical community as you grow within the business.

Qualifications

• Experience with one or more programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, Java, SQL, C or C++.
• Understanding of software engineering fundamentals and best practices.
• Interest or exposure to cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with version control tools such as Git.
• Awareness of cyber security principles and secure software development.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• A willingness to learn new technologies and approaches.

Responsibilities
