Job summary

Bridges Electrical Engineers in Poole, England is seeking a Junior Systems Integration Engineer to join a two-year development pathway. You will work with experienced engineers to deliver high-quality control and automation solutions, primarily for the water sector.

You will gain hands-on experience in PLC, SCADA and related systems, supported by mentoring and formal training, with progression based on demonstrated competence and project involvement.

Qualifications

• Foundation in electrical, electronic, control, automation or software engineering.
• Genuine interest in control, automation and systems integration.
• Ability to learn quickly and apply technical guidance.
• Good attention to detail and a logical, methodical approach to problem solving.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to undertake site work and commissioning as part of project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Produce, review and maintain technical documentation including IO schedules, control philosophies and functional design specifications.
• Support PLC, HMI and SCADA software development, configuration and testing under the guidance of experienced engineers.
• Participate in system builds, Factory Acceptance Tests, commissioning and site testing.
• Support control system hardware, instrumentation, communications and network integration activities.
• Maintain accurate project records, software versions and technical documentation in line with Bridges standards.
