Job summary

The University of Surrey in Guildford is hiring a Junior Surveyor to support the Surveying and Planning Team in asset/estate management across the campus estate of over 300 buildings.

You will handle rent reviews, lease renewals, invoicing, and lettings, while becoming an expert in MRI/Qube and ensuring data accuracy as leases change.

Qualifications

• Experience in property management (lease terms and tenant relations).
• Knowledge of lease terms and real estate processes.
• Experience with property databases and lease administration.

Responsibilities

• Support the Principal Surveyor with all aspects of Asset/Estate Management.
• Raise charges (rent & service charge) on Qube and liaise with the finance team to import data into the University’s finance system.
• Conduct viewing of vacant accommodation with potential Tenants.
• Negotiate Heads of Terms for new lettings.
• Assist with the preparation of new Tenancy documents or instruct the Park’s retained solicitors as appropriate.
• Negotiate rent reviews where applicable using data from other transactions on the Park.
• Support the preparation, submission and approval of service charge budgets and service charge reconciliations.
