Job summary

Streamline Search Ltd is seeking a Junior Surveyor to support the senior commercial team on interior fit-out projects. You will gain hands-on experience across drylining, partitions, ceilings, firestopping and finishes, building a solid commercial foundation early in your Quantity Surveying career.

This role offers mentorship, training, and clear progression toward an Assistant Quantity Surveyor and fully qualified QS position, with regular site exposure and a pro-active, detail-oriented

Qualifications

• Degree, HNC or HND in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related discipline, completed or currently studying.
• Strong numerical and analytical abilities.
• Proficient in MS Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• A proactive attitude with a desire to develop a career in QS.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Carry out site measurements and verify drawings, layouts and completed works.
• Assist with cost control, including material costs, variations, orders and project spend.
• Support the commercial team with the management of specialist packages, including drylining, partitions, suspended ceilings, firestopping and doorsets.
• Assist with monthly valuations, applications and final accounts.
• Help review subcontractor quotations and support package procurement.
• Maintain accurate project records, including site diaries, delivery notes and commercial documentation.
• Work closely with project managers, site teams, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Support Senior Surveyors with day-to-day commercial and administrative duties.

Salary: GBP30000 - GBP35000 per annum

Contract Type: Permanent- Mon- Fri 8am- 5pm

The Junior Surveyor will support the senior commercial team in the successful delivery of interior fit-out projects, gaining hands-on experience across drylining, partitions, ceilings, firestopping and specialist finishes.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the start of their Quantity Surveying career who is looking to develop their commercial knowledge and progress within the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities
