Job summary

HS2 Ltd. and its BBV joint venture are hiring a data and information coordinator based in Birmingham. You will manage data gathering, storage, and GDPR-compliant recordkeeping, and support project communications with stakeholders and petitioners.

You will work on site within a diverse team delivering major assets, with opportunities to learn, adapt and contribute to safety and sustainability initiatives across the Midlands project.

Qualifications

  • Experience in surveys, ground works, structures and heavy civil works.
  • Proficient to an intermediate level in the application of working practices and approved IT systems.
  • Able to clearly communicate the requirements of a safe system of work.
  • Able to work on own initiative and seek opportunities aligned with responsibilities.
  • Organisational and Analytical Skills.
  • Ability to develop processes and follow procedures.
  • Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
  • Previous data handling, GDPR-compliant information management and stakeholder communications experience.

Responsibilities

  • Management of data gathering collation and storage of information with GDPR compliance.
  • Record all communications with stakeholders as evidence where applicable
  • Collaborate with HS2, petitioners, stakeholders and other subcontractors in support of project objectives.
  • Support the escalation of issues and sharing of good practice
  • To comply with and support team compliance with company and client safety standards
  • Demonstrate the BBV behaviours
  • Support the delivery of BBV’s Sustainability activities.
  • An enthusiastic approach
  • Ability to learn and be adaptive with project progression
  • Proficient to an intermediate level in the application of working practices and approved IT systems
  • Previous experience in the surveys, ground works, structures, and heavy civil works.
  • Able to clearly communicate the requirements of a safe system of work to ensure that these are followed accurately.
  • Able to work on own initiative and seek out opportunities in line with level of responsibility.
  • Ability to visit survey location to carry out and verify surveys, produce survey reports where required.
  • Ability to plan and deliver to project deadlines.
  • Organisational and Analytical Skills.
  • Ability to develop processes and follow procedures

Job description

HS2, Britain’s new high-speed railway is at peak construction. Balfour Beatty VINCI is HS2’s construction partner in the Midlands, responsible for delivering 90km of the route, from Long Itchington in Warwickshire to the centre of Birmingham and on to Handsacre in Staffordshire.

Location

Based in Birmingham - the Central Region runs from the east of Birmingham into the city centre, comprising Sublot Delta, 1B, 4 and 5S. More than 50% of the structures within IPT Area North are located in the Central Region. This region, which covers a complex urban environment, also includes the 3.5 mile twin bore Bromford Tunnel. It also includes Interchange Station, as well as crossing three major highways (A45, M6 and M42).
