Job summary

General Dynamics Mission Systems - United Kingdom is seeking an entry‑level Junior Supportability Analysis Engineer to contribute to Integrated Logistics Support activities. You will help generate high quality supportability artefacts and assist in through‑life support of complex systems.

The role focuses on SA, MTA, ASD S1000D maintenance procedures, and ASD S2000M data development. Training will be provided to build expertise in ILS and life‑cycle concepts.

Qualifications

• Degree or HND in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Systems, or similar) or relevant technical experience.
• Understanding of engineering fundamentals, maintenance principles, or system life-cycle concepts.
• Training and development in ILS, supportability engineering, ASD S1000D/S2000M, and associated tools will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Perform Supportability Analysis (SA) and Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA).
• Produce technical maintenance procedures in accordance with ASD S1000D.
• Develop parts provisioning data in accordance with ASD S2000M.

The Junior Supportability Analysis Engineer will support the delivery of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) activities in accordance with the MOD policy DEF STAN 00‑600. The role focuses on generating high quality supportability artefacts that enable effective through‑life support of complex systems. This includes performing Supportability Analysis (SA), Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA), producing technical maintenance procedures in accordance with ASD S1000D, and developing parts provisioning data in accordance with ASD S2000M.

This is an entry‑level position suitable for someone early in their engineering career with an interest in reliability, maintainability, technical documentation, and logistics support.

Qualifications

Degree or HND in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Systems, or similar) OR relevant technical experience.

Understanding of engineering fundamentals, maintenance principles, or system life‑cycle concepts.

Training and development in ILS, supportability engineering, ASD S1000D/S2000M, and associated tools will be provided.
