Job summary

General Dynamics Mission Systems in the UK is seeking a Junior Supportability Analysis Engineer to support Integrated Logistics Support activities in line with MOD DEF STAN 00-600. The role focuses on producing SA, MTA, ASD S1000D, and ASD S2000M artefacts for through-life support of complex systems.

This entry-level position offers training in ILS and exposure to reliability, maintainability, and technical documentation within a defence engineering environment.

Qualifications

• Degree or HND in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Systems, or similar) or relevant technical experience.
• Understanding of engineering fundamentals, maintenance principles, or system life-cycle concepts.
• Training and development in ILS, supportability engineering, ASD S1000D/S2000M, and associated tools will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) activities in accordance with MOD policy DEF STAN 00‑600.
• Perform Supportability Analysis (SA) and Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA).
• Develop technical maintenance procedures and provisioning data per ASD S1000D/S2000M.

Job Description

The Junior Supportability Analysis Engineer will support the delivery of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) activities in accordance with the MOD policy DEF STAN 00‑600. The role focuses on generating high quality supportability artefacts that enable effective through‑life support of complex systems. This includes performing Supportability Analysis (SA), Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA), producing technical maintenance procedures in accordance with ASD S1000D, and developing parts provisioning data in accordance with ASD S2000M.

This is an entry‑level position suitable for someone early in their engineering career with an interest in reliability, maintainability, technical documentation, and logistics support.

Qualifications
