Job summary

ALTEN is seeking a Space Junior Electrical and Mechanical AIT Engineer to support spacecraft and satellite integration activities on-site in the South West UK. The role focuses on Assembly, Integration and Test (AIT) in both electrical and mechanical disciplines, suitable for engineers with space programme experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in space or aerospace electrical and mechanical AIT.
• Ability to read technical drawings and test documentation.
• Hands-on experience supporting integration in aerospace or space systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform spacecraft and satellite AIT activities.
• Execute electrical integration tasks including harness installation and testing.
• Support mechanical integration activities such as subsystem installation and alignment.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful integration of spacecraft systems.
• Conduct test procedures, analyse results and support anomaly investigations.
• Ensure all activities meet quality, safety and programme requirements.
• Maintain accurate documentation throughout the AIT lifecycle.
