Job summary

ALTEN is seeking a Junior Electrical and Mechanical AIT Engineer to support spacecraft and satellite integration activities, with a solid background in AIT across electrical and mechanical disciplines. The role suits professionals who have worked on complex space programmes and can work within multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Location is on-site in Guildford, with clearable status and junior experience level.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in spacecraft or satellite AIT environment is required.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, procedures and test documentation.
• Strong problem-solving skills and proactive engineering approach.

Responsibilities

• Perform spacecraft and satellite assembly, integration and test activities.
• Execute electrical integration tasks, including harness installation and electrical testing.
• Support mechanical integration activities, including subsystem installation and alignment.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful integration of spacecraft systems.
• Conduct test procedures, analyse results and support anomaly investigations.
• Ensure all activities comply with quality, safety and programme requirements.
• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting throughout the AIT lifecycle.
