Job summary

Rudding Park is seeking a junior sous chef to join its energetic kitchen team. You will receive full training across all kitchen areas and gain exposure to multiple outlets within the resort.

You will lead a section, assist senior chefs when needed, and mentor junior staff to uphold high standards of food quality and hygiene. The role requires familiarity with kitchen computer systems, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to thrive under pressure in a busy environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a professional kitchen is desirable.
• Willingness to learn across outlets and stations.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare dishes using fresh, local produce.
• Run a kitchen section and cover senior chefs when needed.
• Lead a small team and train juniors to standards.
• Utilize kitchen computer systems for ordering and rotation.
• Maintain health and safety/COSHH compliance at all times.
• Ensure food cost targets are met and waste is controlled.
