Job summary

wagamama is seeking a junior sous chef to support leading shifts and the kitchen team, ensuring dishes are prepared to order and standards are consistently high. You’ll work with the management team to run a busy kitchen and foster a culture of quality and care.

As part of the wagamama team, you’ll coach staff, plan shifts for optimal cover, and uphold food safety and cost awareness while delivering an exceptional guest experience.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting a kitchen team while maintaining high standards.
• Ability to manage line, plan shifts, and coach on the go.
• Understanding of food safety standards and kitchen health guidelines.
• Awareness of gross profit, stock control, and labour cost in a kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Run a vibrant, high-performing kitchen in collaboration with the management team.
• Maintain food quality and kitchen atmosphere at a high level.
