Dakota Hotels is seeking a creative Junior Sous Chef to join our Kitchen Team in the UK. You will assist the Head and Sous Chef, lead service during busy periods, and help deliver across all menus including room service, breakfast and events.

Qualifications

• 4+ years professional cooking experience in a high-calibre restaurant.
• 1+ years as a Senior CDP or Junior Sous.
• Level 2+ food hygiene training, HACCP and allergens (training provided).
• Experience with fish and meat prep.
• Passion for quality food and preparation.
• Hardworking and a team-player.
• Promotes a positive culture within the team.
• Detail-oriented with pride in work.
• Flexible with shifts and business needs.
• Demonstrated brand awareness and desire to join the team.

Responsibilities

• Be confident in a busy service and support across different areas of the Kitchen.
• Support Head and Sous Chef in running aspects of the Kitchen and lead service.
• Prepare and cook dishes according to Head Chef specifications for all menus.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen and front of house teams.
• Train junior Chefs and apprentices in a positive, open working environment.
• Adhere to Health & Safety and Food Hygiene legislation and maintain audit standards.
• Continually learn and improve culinary skills.
