Number Sixteen Hotel, part of Firmdale Hotels, invites you to join as a Junior Sous Chef in London’s South Kensington. You will support breakfast, lunch and dinner service, work closely with the kitchen team, and help maintain exceptional dining standards.

You will lead and inspire a small team, manage stock for your section, and ensure precise presentation and taste across all dishes, while contributing to a calm, high-performing kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar culinary role, preferably in a high-pressure setting.
• Strong passion for food and delivering exceptional dining experiences.
• Proven ability to lead and inspire a kitchen team.
• Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
• Clear verbal and written communication with colleagues and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and execution of breakfast, lunch, and dinner services.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with composure during peak periods.
• Lead by example, supervising a small team to achieve culinary excellence.
• Maintain meticulous attention to detail for presentation and taste.
• Own stock management and ordering for your section, optimise inventory and minimise waste.
• Coordinate kitchen activities with colleagues to ensure smooth operation.
• Collaborate with Head Chef and Sous Chefs to uphold the hotel's culinary reputation.
