STK Stratford is recruiting a Junior Sous Chef to join our high-energy kitchen. You will work closely with the Sous Chef and Head Chef to help run daily operations, maintain exceptional standards, and deliver the premium STK dining experience in Stratford.

• Strong knowledge of food preparation, kitchen operations, and food safety.

• Food Hygiene Level 2 (or willingness to obtain).
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support the Sous Chef and Head Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
• Lead and motivate the kitchen team during service, ensuring efficient operations.
• Prepare and present dishes to high standards of quality and consistency.
• Supervise, coach, and develop junior members of the kitchen brigade.
• Monitor food quality, portion control and presentation.
• Assist with stock control, ordering, stock rotation and minimising waste.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, COSHH, and Health & Safety regulations.
• Maintain excellent cleanliness and organisation throughout the kitchen.
• Support menu development and contribute new ideas where appropriate.
• Step into leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Sous Chef.
