Job summary

A leading catering company in London seeks a Junior Sous Chef. You'll report to and support the Head Chef while ensuring the highest food quality and motivating the kitchen team. The role involves stock management, maintaining safety standards, and contributing to menu development. Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role is preferred.
• Strong leadership qualities to motivate the kitchen team.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Head Chef and Sous Chef, taking charge in their absence.
• Ensure high food quality and oversee stock management.
• Maintain food safety and health standards.
• Ensuring the kitchen team’s performance is of the highest standard by motivating and leading by example
• Overseeing stock levels and making key decisions about stock control with the Head Chef and Sous Chef
• Ensuring all food safety and health and safety procedures are maintained to the highest standard

Job description

Shifts: Mainly daytime, 5 days out of 7 (including weekends)

Contract: Full Time, Permanent

About theJuniorSousChefrole:

• Reporting directly tothe HeadChef and Sous Chefand deputising in their absence
• Working with the HeadChef, Sous Chef and Group ExecutiveChefto ensure the kitchen operation remains consistent, support the development new menu ideas and ways to improve our offerings
• Ensuring the food quality is always at its highest standard
• Ensure the performance of the kitchenteamis of the highest standard by motivating and leading by example
• Overseeing stock levels and making key decisions about stock control in conjunction with the HeadChef and Sous Chef
• Ensure all food safety and health and safety procedures are maintained to the highest standard
