The Role:

As a Software Engineer, you will be involved in all stages of our SDLC from day one; this includes feature planning, implementation, testing, documentation writing, releases, and product support. You will develop and test code for system changes or new modules within Bottomline’s core technology and architecture according to internal and regulatory specifications and standards. You will be working in a team maintaining both SaaS Platform solutions and legacy products. This is a unique role offering the opportunity to work in a cross-functional, international team.

This role will be based remotely in Scotland.

How you'll contribute:

• Work closely on technical designs with technical leaders and architects.
• Perform production support, troubleshooting, and maintenance in a timely manner.
• Prepare and participate in deployments on UAT and Production environments.
• Gain working experience in software development.
• Understand all phases of SDLC, with experience working in Agile methodology.
• Have skills in the .NET stack, such as .NET Core and .NET Framework.
• Possess a high understanding of multi-tier architecture, web-based development, and Service-Oriented Architecture.
• Be aware of Non-Functional Requirements.
• Have solid experience in designing and developing with relational databases (Postgres, Oracle, MS-SQL) and SQL-PL/SQL.
• Have hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Maven, Ant, Bitbucket, GitLab, Jenkins, and ArgoCD.
• Have good knowledge of containerized platforms working with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Be able to problem-solve with an aptitude for learning and innovation.
