Job summary

Tyréns AKT in London is expanding its in-house Software Development Team and seeking a Junior Software Engineer to design and maintain software tools for multiple disciplines, including computational design and engineering.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, participate in CI/CD automation, and apply agentic AI tools to accelerate development while upholding code quality, security, and best practices. This is a hybrid role based in London.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Demonstrated professional software development experience.
• Practical experience with Agentic AI systems (e.g., Claude Code, OpenAI Codex).

Responsibilities

• Designing and maintaining web-based and client-based software tools.
• Working with stakeholders to gather requirements and shape roadmaps for tools.
• Automating build, testing and deployment via CI/CD pipelines.

The position.

Tyréns AKT has an in-house Software Development Team – comprised of software developers and computational designers – that creates bespoke software tools to support the company’s many specialisms: structural engineering, façade design, geotechnical design, bioclimatic analysis, and so on. We’re looking for a Junior Software Engineer to join our growing team! LI-Hybrid

The role and responsibilities.

As a Junior Software Developer your responsibilities could include, but will not be limited to, the following:

• Designing and maintaining web-based and client-based software tools.
• Working with stakeholders to gather requirements, set priorities and shape roadmaps for tools.
• Automating build, testing and deployment of code using CI/CD pipelines.
• Using agentic AI tools to accelerate development, while applying best practice for code reviews, testing, security and responsible use.

Required Skills.

• Proficiency in languages :: Python, and/or C#.
• Knowledge of software design patterns.
• Experience with web-based geometry visualisation :: Three.js or similar.
• Experience with typical AEC software and APIs :: Rhino, Grasshopper, Revit, FEA Software, etc.

Qualifications And Experience.

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Software Development, Computer Science, Game Development, Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in software development within a professional environment.
• Practical experience working with Agentic AI systems, such as Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, or similar AI-powered development tools.
