Job summary

Joseph Gallagher Limited, a leading UK civil engineering and tunnelling sub-contractor, seeks a Junior In-House Recruiter. You will source and select candidates for blue-collar site-based roles, using the ATS, LinkedIn, job boards and social media.

You’ll work with Labour Managers and the Labour Management team to meet project resourcing needs and deliver timely, compliant hires. You will pre-register, screen applicants, organise interviews and facilitate offers, ensuring payroll paperwork is

Qualifications

• Experience recruiting in Construction or Civil Engineering industries.
• Experience in-house or with an agency setting.
• Recruitment for blue-collar, site-based roles and liaising with labour managers.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with Labour Managers to understand labour gaps and resourcing needs.
• Create and manage vacancies in the ATS, write or update job descriptions, and advertise roles on the careers page, job boards and social media.
• Actively source candidates via LinkedIn and other tools for niche roles.
• Pre-register and screen applicants, shortlist candidates for recruiting managers.
• Coordinate interviews and provide feedback to candidates and managers.
• Convey offers and ensure salary approvals and payroll paperwork are completed.
• Build and maintain a database of suitably skilled candidates.
