• West Park Hospital rehabilitation inpatient and day care services, therapy services and outpatients
• Cannock Chase Hospital general surgery, orthopaedics, breast surgery, urology, dermatology/plastic surgery and medical day case investigations and treatment
• More than 20 community sites - community services for children and adults, walk-in centres and therapy and rehabilitation services
• Primary care - Ten GP practices have now joined us and offer extended opening hours to patients.

An exciting opportunity has become available for a band 6 nurse to join our evolving Emergency Department Team. We are looking for nurses who are pursuing a new challenge who hold experience in either an Emergency Department or significant acute medical experience.

Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities
Delivering safe and effective clinical practice, enhancing the patients experience with regular and constructive communication, managing and developing the performance of a team of nursing staff, ensuring effective contribution to the delivery of the organisations objectives, efficient and effective use of resources, and deputising for Senior Sister/Charge Nurse.

Qualifications
Essential criteria:

• RN Diploma, Degree

Desirable criteria:

• Valid NMC registration

Experience
Essential criteria:

• Relevant acute nursing experience current or within the last 2 years

Desirable criteria:

• Experience of working within the emergency department
• Ability to triage or recent triage training
• Completion of Level 1 RCN Emergency nursing competencies
• Phlebotomy skills and or ability to cannulate
• Evidence of leadership within a team
