HR GO Recruitment is seeking Junior Sheet Metal Fabricators in Watford on a permanent basis. The role focuses on operating fabrication machinery to produce high-precision sheet metal components from drawings, with a strict emphasis on quality and safety.

The position features a four-day week with Fridays off and a strong emphasis on learning press machine operation within an experienced production team.

Qualifications

• Experience operating fabrication machinery such as guillotine, bandsaw or press.
• Ability to work in a team to deliver parts on time.
• Strong attention to detail and quality-focused approach.
• Motivation and desire to learn press machine operation.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate fabrication machines including guillotines, bandsaws and presses.
• Produce and assemble detailed parts for assemblies and welded assemblies.
• Layout, measure and mark materials from drawings/templates using hand tools and calculators.
• Use measuring equipment to confirm dimensions meet drawing requirements.
• Read and follow engineering drawings/lofts, procedures and work instructions.
• Attend and participate in daily stand-up meetings.
• Follow health & safety, quality and regulatory requirements.
• Support workplace organisation and continuous improvement.
• Maintain a tidy, safe working environment.
