Job summary
Carrington West is seeking an Assistant Energy & Sustainability Consultant - SAP Assessments to join its energy consultancy team. You will deliver SAP calculations for residential developments and support Building Regulations compliance while developing your technical expertise under experienced mentors.
You will gain exposure to overheating assessments, RdSAP, SBEM modelling and energy statements, with extensive training and clear career development as your experience grows.
Qualifications
- OCDEA qualification and practical SAP assessment experience.
- Experience delivering SAP for new-build and refurbishment.
- Understanding of Part L and Part O energy regulations.
- GCSE Maths and English grade C/4 or higher.
- Strong numerical and analytical abilities.
Responsibilities
- Carry out SAP assessments for new-build and refurbishment projects.
- Produce SAP calculations and EPCs.
- Complete U-value calculations for building designs.
- Support energy statements for planning applications.
- Assist TM59 dynamic modelling per CIBSE guidance.
- Contribute to thermal bridging calculations and condensation risk assessments.
- Develop RdSAP assessments for existing dwellings.
- Gain exposure to SBEM Level 3/4 modelling.
