Job summary

Brentford Boat Club is seeking an experienced rowing coach to work under the Head Coach and collaborate with the team to develop the next generation of talent.

The role involves planning and delivering coaching sessions on the water and on land, with responsibilities spanning coaching juniors of varying abilities, safety, and event support. A friendly, proactive attitude is essential, with some weekend/term-time work expected.

Qualifications

• Experience of Squad training and racing either as a coach or athlete.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work from your own initiative as well as part of a team.
• Commitment to delivering high quality training through a positive and motivating approach.
• Managing & delivering sessions safely both on & off the water.
• Positive, friendly and resourceful disposition.

Responsibilities

• Plan and run coaching sessions on the water and on land.
• Coach and motivate juniors from novice to national level.
• Support athletes' fitness and technical development.
• Assist at events such as trailering, boating, pre-race warm-ups.
• Oversee general boat maintenance and repairs.
