We are seeking an enthusiastic, resourceful, hardworking Junior Branch Merchandiser who will grow with the company and add value to our fast-growing team. This person will deliver category-specific retail sales, profit, and availability KPIs for a smaller region or category than a Branch Merchandiser. Responsible for trading stock once it hits a DC, inline with product life cycle. The key interface between demand planning and Retail teams. Manages a territory to ensure retail space and availability are optimized, and retail profit is maximized.

Contract details: Fixed term contract: 12 months
Working arrangement: Hybrid (3 days in the office, 2 from home)

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver category and territory-specific retail sales, profit, and availability KPIs. Manage trading stock once it hits a DC, aligned with product lifecycle. Use analysis to identify risks and opportunities, and communicate findings to leadership.
  • Become a regional expert, understanding regional needs, advocating for those needs within the business, and ensuring stock packages are fit for purpose. Incorporate learnings into future buying strategies.
  • Launch promotional events in-store, maximize opportunities, and ensure timely allocation to meet launch dates.
  • Manage regional availability by balancing stock between web and retail, maintaining accurate distribution forecasts, and ensuring stock levels meet performance KPIs.
  • Build strong relationships with Retail teams, communicate key information, and visit stores regularly to understand opportunities and provide feedback.
  • Follow the season launch critical path, ensuring all key actions are completed on time.
  • Coordinate the timely and successful launch of new stores, address issues proactively, and tailor ranges to market needs.
  • Identify and communicate sales/stock risks and opportunities, as well as markdowns/markups needed to maximize sell-through and profit.
  • Collaborate with supply chain to ensure efficient stock distribution, manage warehouse stock, and balance store needs, considering product lifecycle and margin targets.
  • Lead by example as a role model within the Branch Team.
  • Develop, coach, and support team members through regular one-to-ones, setting SMART objectives, and creating succession plans.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and support system development initiatives.
  • Maintain close communication with Retail, Merchandising, and Supply Chain teams.
Candidate Profile
  • Expertise in allocation/replenishment tools
  • Previous experience in Branch Merchandising/Retail Trading
  • Knowledge of retail operations and supply chain processes
  • Commercial mindset, energetic, passionate
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment (3 days in London office, 2 from home)
