SJC Legal is recruiting a Junior Residential Property Conveyancer to join its established Conveyancing team in Mansfield. The role offers a clear progression path from a Conveyancing Assistant to a Junior Conveyancer, with structured training and mentoring to develop technical knowledge.

You will assist with and progressively manage conveyancing transactions, communicate with clients, and work closely with senior colleagues to deliver high-quality service in a supportive office environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist with Residential Conveyancing transactions from instruction to completion

Junior Residential Property Conveyancer

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

SJC Legal is currently working with a well-established and highly regarded law firm looking to recruit a Junior Residential Property Conveyancer to join its established Conveyancing team in Mansfield.

This is an excellent opportunity for either an experienced Conveyancing Assistant who is ready to progress into a Junior Conveyancer position or someone already operating at junior fee-earning level. The firm offers structured training, close mentoring and genuine career progression, making this particularly well suited to someone looking to continue developing their technical conveyancing experience.

The Role

• Assist with and progressively manage Residential Conveyancing transactions from instruction through to completion
• Support across a range of residential property Sales and Purchases
• Assist with progressing multiple conveyancing matters simultaneously
• Prepare correspondence and legal documentation
• Communicate with clients throughout their transactions and provide regular updates
• Liaise with estate agents, mortgage brokers, lenders, solicitors and other third parties
• Ensure matters are progressed efficiently and key deadlines are met
• Maintain accurate records using the firm's Case Management system
• Deliver a high standard of client care throughout the conveyancing process
• Work closely with experienced Conveyancers and senior members of the department to continue developing your technical knowledge

The Candidate

• Have previous experience within Residential Conveyancing
• Be an experienced Conveyancing Assistant looking to progress or an existing Junior Conveyancer
• Have experience assisting with matters from instruction through to completion
• Be comfortable working across multiple conveyancing transactions and managing competing deadlines
• Have strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
• Be confident communicating with clients and other professionals
• Have experience using legal Case Management systems and digital tools
• Be proactive and keen to continue developing your technical conveyancing knowledge
• Be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
• Previous experience drafting legal documents would be advantageous
• CLC, LPC or another relevant conveyancing/legal qualification would be advantageous but is not essential
• Be comfortable working full-time from the firm's Mansfield office
