National Gas is seeking a Junior Quantity Surveyor in the West region (Bristol hub) with a hybrid pattern requiring a minimum in-office presence. You’ll work with project managers to manage contracts, cost control, risk, and supplier performance across a diverse portfolio, developing commercial capabilities for a long-term career in infrastructure.
You’ll bring a Quantity Surveying degree (or be studying toward one), NEC contract knowledge, strong communication, and proficiency with
£44,642 to £49,894 + up to 6% bonus
Location: West region (Hub: Bristol)
Working pattern: Hybrid, with a minimum of 3 days a week in the office/on site
Travel: Regular travel within the region, including the Bristol hub
Location requirement: Based within the West region and within reasonable travelling distance of operational sites

As a Junior Quantity Surveyor, you'll help ensure infrastructure and operational projects deliver value, remain commercially robust, and achieve the outcomes our region depends on. Working closely with project managers and commercial colleagues, you'll support contract management, cost control, risk management, and supplier performance across a diverse portfolio of work.
The West region plays a vital role in maintaining and enhancing critical gas transmission infrastructure, supporting the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of assets across the network. Delivering projects successfully across the region requires strong commercial management, effective contract administration, and robust financial oversight.
