Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Norwich. This role is ideal for recent graduates or entry-level professionals eager to start their career in construction.

Key Responsibilities

1. Cost Estimation & Planning: Prepare detailed cost estimates, feasibility studies, and establish budgets for projects.
2. Contract Management: Develop tender documents, contracts, bills of quantities, and manage procurement processes.
3. Cost Control & Monitoring: Monitor project expenditures, ensure budget adherence, and provide financial reports.
4. Valuation & Payment: Value work completed, arrange payments, and prepare valuations and final accounts.
5. Risk Management: Identify risks, conduct analyses, and develop mitigation strategies.
6. Legal & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with laws and regulations, advise on contractual issues.
7. Sustainability & Value Engineering: Promote sustainable practices and value engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and QS software.
• Knowledge of construction processes and regulations.
• Membership or eligibility for RICS membership is a plus.
