Job summary

Ashby Finance Ltd is seeking a Junior Quality Engineer in Leamington Spa. The role provides support across manufacturing, product engineering and quality management within an automotive parts environment.

You will liaise with customers, suppliers and external service providers, guiding the product lifecycle from design to production. The position suits someone newly qualified or early in their quality engineering career, with a 39-hour week on a day shift and an early finish on Fridays.

Qualifications

• Fundamental engineering knowledge required.
• Strong IT skills essential.
• Good interpersonal and communication abilities with stakeholders.
• Keen to learn and develop within a quality-focused engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit Part Approval documentation, including PPAP, to customers.
• Support APQP activities internally and with customers.
• Carry out dimensional measurement and prepare measurement reports.
• Obtain IMDS information from sub-suppliers and submit for approval.
• Set quality standards and establish quality master samples for production.
• Support goods-inwards inspection processes.
• Assist with investigations of customer and internal quality concerns.
• Create and update Standard Operating Procedures.
• Analyse CAD models and 2D drawings using Autodesk Fusion 360.
• Manage calibration for metrology equipment.
• Coordinate and track non-conformance reports.
