Job summary

Apex Resource Management in Leamington Spa is seeking a Junior Quality Engineer to support manufacturing, product engineering and quality management within an automotive parts environment. You will liaise with customers, suppliers and external service providers across the product lifecycle.

This role suits someone newly qualified or at an early stage in quality engineering, offering day shifts, 39 hours per week, and training to support progression.

Qualifications

• Fundamental engineering knowledge.
• Strong IT skills.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and external stakeholders.
• The Junior Quality Engineer should be keen to learn and develop within a quality-focused engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit Part Approval documentation, including PPAP, to customers.
• Support APQP activities internally and with customers.
• Carry out dimensional measurement and prepare measurement reports for new and existing products.
• Obtain IMDS information from sub-suppliers and submit IMDS information for customer approval.
• Set quality standards and establish quality master samples for use within production.
• Support the goods-inwards inspection process.
• Assist with investigation and resolution of customer quality and build concerns.
• Assist with investigation and resolution of internal quality and build concerns.
• Create and update new and existing Standard Operating Procedures.
• Analyse CAD models and 2D drawings using Autodesk Fusion 360.
• Manage the calibration process for metrology equipment.
• Coordinate and track non-conformance reports.
