Job summary

Workforce Group in Daventry is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to lead customer and supplier quality across automotive programmes. You will own APQP/PPAP, drive quality improvements from development through production launches, and partner with OEMs and suppliers to ensure high-quality delivery.

The role requires hands-on leadership in an IATF 16949 environment, strong GD&T and measurement skills, and experience with FARO CMM. A UK driving licence is essential for site visits.

Qualifications

Experience in automotive manufacturing with OEM/supplier exposure.
Strong understanding of IATF 16949 and APQP/PPAP.
Ability to lead root-cause analysis (8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone).
Experience with PSW submissions and supplier audits.
Knowledge of GD&T and measurement systems.

Responsibilities

Act as quality contact for OEM customers.
Manage customer quality concerns and concessions.
Lead 8D, 5 Whys and Fishbone investigations.
Review PPAP submissions and support approvals.
Support APQP and new product introduction.
Review supplier PPAP submissions and quality performance.
Conduct supplier audits and manage supplier quality improvements.
Maintain QMS to IATF16949.
