Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is seeking a Junior Quality Auditor in York to support quality assurance, HACCP, and food safety objectives across the site. You will perform internal audits, daily compliance checks, and sample collections to maintain high standards.

You will receive full training and have opportunities for progression through courses to develop technical skills and career growth. The role is full-time, Mon-Fri, with a 6:00 am–3:30 pm shift.

Qualifications

• Background in a production or manufacturing environment or similar.
• Looking for a full-time role.
• Commutable to York.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the Technical Manager with the company's quality assurance and food safety objectives
• Carrying out daily compliance checks across factory departments and reporting non-conformances
• Conducting internal audits covering GMP, HACCP, BRC, hygiene, maintenance, factory fabric and quality systems
• Monitoring temperatures, air temperatures, data loggers and other quality control checks
• Carrying out pre-operation hygiene inspections across the abattoir and boning hall
• Collecting and coordinating microbiological samples, environmental swabs and meat samples for laboratory testing
