Job summary

Verto People Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking a Trainee Service Technician / Trainee Workshop Engineer / Trainee Pump Engineer to learn electrical and mechanical repair, service, and commissioning of industrial pumps, mostly in the workshop with occasional fieldwork.

You will benefit from full product training and join a team focused on wastewater pumps, with opportunities to visit customer sites across London, Surrey, Hampshire and Somerset.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical or hands-on service experience required.
• Willingness to learn about pumps, hydraulics and rotating equipment.
• Willingness to work in wastewater/sewage pump environments is essential.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and operation manuals.

Responsibilities

• Learn electrical and mechanical repair, service, and commissioning of industrial pumps and equipment, primarily in the workshop with occasional fieldwork.
• Assist in preventive maintenance and diagnostics of pump systems.
• Support pump installations and performance monitoring.
• Assist with installing pump products across manufacturing industries.
• Liaise with engineering teams as needed.
