Job description

At Encore, we’re here to make residential property management feel personal, thoughtful, and seamless. Since we opened our doors in 2004, our mission has been simple: to deliver an outstanding experience for every customer, with genuine care at the heart of everything we do. We don’t just look after buildings, we look after the people who call them home, treating each property as if it were our own.

The Encore culture not only attracts the brightest talent, but also industry recognition as we've been awarded Employer of the Year on many of occasions. Our ambition is to be regarded as the most professional managing agent in the country - with a team of exceptional people who are energised by what they do. Were all about communication, collaboration, teamwork – and having fun while we work. By creating an inviting environment for our people to be inspired, learn and flourish can make all the difference.

We’re looking for a Junior Property Manager to join us and help shape the future of residential property management.

What You’ll Do

As a Junior Property Manager, you’ll take the lead in managing a portfolio of high-quality residential estates, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and delivering a consistently high standard of service. You will also be assisting Estate Managers with their portfolios. From financial oversight to maintenance coordination and client communication, you'll be responsible for keeping every element of Encores estates running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Performance & Delivery: Meet key milestones and KPIs, ensuring tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
  • Financial Management: Prepare service charge budgets, monitor expenditure, and ensure robust financial control across your portfolio.
  • Maintenance Coordination: Oversee both planned and reactive maintenance, working with trusted contractors to maintain property standards and resolve issues promptly.
  • Client & Resident Engagement: Lead meetings, maintain clear and professional communication, and build strong relationships with clients, residents, and stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For

You’ll bring a solid background in residential property management, ideally as an experienced assistant property manger, along with strong organisational skills, and the confidence to manage competing priorities. Your ability to communicate clearly, manage budgets, and solve problems effectively will be key to your success in the role.

Qualifications:

IRPM (TPI) Part 1 is preferred but not essential. We will support you in gaining any further qualifications.

Experience:

Experience in property management is essential. You should be confident in handling budgets, overseeing maintenance, and ensuring financial control across multiple sites.

Skills:

Strong communication and organisational skills, solid project management ability, and a thorough understanding of current property management legislation

Why Work with Us?
Great Team Environment:

You’ll be part of a friendly, supportive team that works hard and has fun along the way.

Growth Opportunities:

We believe in helping our people grow. With extensive training and development, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to advance your career.

Competitive Salary & Perks:

We offer a competitive salary, benefits, and a positive workplace culture where your contributions are valued.

For this role you would be required to be in the Cambridge office 2 days a week, 1 day on site and 2 days working from home.
