Junior Project Manager - Field Based

Location: Field based in the Grantham area

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday

What you’ll do:

We are looking for a Junior Project Manager to support the Contract Delivery Manager in the Arb Utility division at Ground Control. You will manage operations for an assigned programme of tree works in the Grantham area, driving programme delivery, meeting KPI targets, and overseeing our tree cutting teams.

This is a field-based role with approximately 3-4 days in the field and 1-2 days at home. A valid driving licence is required as you will be driving to rural locations regularly.

You will ensure work is completed to high standards in safety, environmental, quality, customer service, and profitability. Drive consistency and innovation to ensure Ground Control remains industry-leading.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage performance and outputs within your projects, focusing on safety, quality, production, budget, timings, and client satisfaction.
• Maintain efficient communication with your Project Coordinator and ensure timely project processing.
• Report effectively to your Contract Delivery Manager.
• Ensure your tree cutting teams have sufficient work and are fully utilized.
• Update and manage work programmes and planning checklists.
• Resolve client-held spans to obtain necessary consents.

What we're looking for:

This role suits someone with basic field experience, possibly within arboriculture, surveying, or installation engineering seeking a career change. Tree or horticulture experience is beneficial but not essential.

To succeed, you should have:

• Strong negotiation and influencing skills
• Proficiency in IT
• Excellent team management and organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple demands
