Job Title: Junior Project Manager

Description:

We are seeking an enthusiastic Junior Project Manager with a degree in electrical, electronic, or controls engineering and a minimum of 2 years of project management experience. Our niche sector client has been established for over 30 years, offering services in Project Management, Implementation, Consultancy, and Software Development to blue chip clients worldwide. Due to ongoing growth, they are looking to expand their project management team.

This role is ideal for early-career project professionals managing small projects, with aspirations to handle larger, more complex projects. Candidates should possess excellent attention to detail, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to build rapport with clients, supply chain, and team members. A relevant degree (or equivalent) in electrical, electronics, or controls engineering and a full UK driving license are required.

Familiarity with Project Management processes, risk management, commercial management, and contract execution is essential. Experience managing small projects within time, cost, and quality objectives, along with a working knowledge of control systems, is advantageous.

Core Responsibilities:

1. Deliver small projects, managing budgets, timelines, and objectives.
2. Prepare project programs and manage delivery schedules for engineering labor and materials.
3. Maintain risk registers and manage risk mitigation strategies.
4. Conduct financial reporting, cost monitoring, and prepare quotes for contract variations.
5. Lead project meetings with internal teams and clients, liaising with engineers, project managers, and stakeholders.
6. Manage internal project engineers and supply chain.
7. Prepare monthly progress reports.
8. Handle contract management, including changes, costs, and unforeseen events, preferably using NEC processes.
9. Manage client payment applications and certify supply chain invoices.
