Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Limited is seeking a Junior Project/Commissioning Engineer in Totnes, commutable from Plymouth, Exeter and Tavistock. The role offers £30,000-£35,000 plus a Company Share Scheme, training programmes, progression and pension alongside professional membership support.

You will work with a renewable energy specialist, developing project delivery, commissioning and client-facing skills as you learn from the Senior Project Engineer and gain remote commissioning experience.

Qualifications

• Electrical engineering background is required or advantageous.
• Understanding of LV electrical systems is essential.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills are important.

Are you a Junior Engineer looking to develop your career within a specialist renewable energy business?

Do you have an electrical engineering background and want to develop your project and commissioning experience within a growing company that can offer excellent training and progression?

This company is a specialist control systems and data analytics business focused on the renewable energy sector. They design, build and supply control system solutions that sit between the grid and renewable energy generation systems.

In this role you will work closely with the Senior Project Engineer, learning how projects are delivered, systems are configured and commissioning procedures are carried out. The role will also involve communicating with clients and supporting the remote commissioning of control systems.

This is a great opportunity for a Junior Engineer, recent graduate or technical college graduate with an interest in electrical engineering, projects and commissioning to develop a broad range of technical and client-facing skills.

The Role:

• Project Support: Working alongside the Senior Project Engineer to support the delivery of projects
• Commissioning: Supporting the remote commissioning of control systems and equipment
• Client Communication: Communicating with clients throughout projects and commissioning activities
• Technical Development: Learning established systems, processes and procedures and applying them across different projects

The Person:

• Electrical engineering knowledge or experience
