The Role: Production Engineer
As a Production Engineer, you will play an essential role in making this visionary project a success. Reporting to the Production Engineering Manager, you’ll oversee manufacturing processes and ensure engineering requirements are met on the project level. You’ll be responsible for maintaining high safety and quality standards while working alongside a dynamic team of engineers and production supervisors.
Key Responsibilities
- Optimise operational processes and ensure efficient, safe execution
- Preparation of shop drawings for monopile manufacturing
- Mechanical design understanding for production equipment improvement and development
- Basic understanding of steel materials used in structural fabrication
- Lead safety initiatives and maintain a strong safety culture
- Manage tooling and process controls to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
- Maximise utilisation and enhance quality across the board
- Use lean tools to drive continuous improvement in processes, efficiency, and product quality
- Solving production problems under time constraints
- Creating programs for CNC machines
- Creating drawings for manufacture using 3D CAD
- Review and assess stress analysis reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards, provide technical guidance during their creation, and offer expert advisory input to optimize structural integrity and performance
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree or higher (Mechanical Engineering preferred)
- Solid mechanical understanding
- Strong willingness to learn and develop
- Open to external training for upskilling
- Must have very good drafting skills and knowledge of engineering drawing convention
- Must have 3D CAD skills and understand 3D CAD best practices (advanced CAD user)
