Job summary

Eden Brown is seeking a Junior Pre-Construction Manager to join its London team, supporting the pre-construction process from tender through to handover. You will work alongside senior managers, designers and commercial teams to help develop bids and procurement strategies for high-profile fit-out projects.

Ideal candidates will have experience in commercial fit-out or design & build, strong organisation and communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial fit-out, refurbishment, or design & build sectors.
• Previous experience in pre-construction or related roles.
• Understanding tendering, procurement and pre-construction processes.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and project documentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pre-construction process from tender to handover.
• Support tender submissions, bid responses and client proposals.
• Coordinate RFIs, tender queries and design information.
• Assist with take-offs, cost plans and value engineering.
• Obtain and analyse subcontractor quotations and procurement strategies.
• Maintain project documentation, drawings registers and programme data.
• Support mobilisation with design, commercial and delivery teams.
• Attend client meetings and site surveys as required.

About the Opportunity

An award-winning Design & Build fit-out contractor is looking to appoint a Junior Pre-Construction Manager to join its growing London team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Pre-Construction Coordinator, Bid Coordinator, Project Coordinator, Assistant Design Manager, Assistant Quantity Surveyor, or similar professional looking to take the next step into a fully-fledged pre-construction role.

Working alongside experienced Pre-Construction Managers, Commercial teams, Designers and Project Managers, you will play a key role in the successful development of commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects from initial enquiry through to contract award.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting with the management of the pre-construction process from tender stage through to project handover.
• Supporting preparation of tender submissions, bid responses, presentations and client proposals.
• Coordinating and managing RFIs, tender queries and design information.
• Assisting with take-offs, cost plans, cost comparisons and value engineering exercises.
• Obtaining and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Supporting procurement strategies and package tendering.
• Coordinating project documentation, drawing registers and programme information.
• Managing subcontractor compliance, accreditations and PQQ documentation.
• Working closely with design, commercial and delivery teams to ensure successful project mobilisation.
• Attending client meetings, site surveys and design workshops where required.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience working within the commercial fit-out, refurbishment, construction, interiors or design & build sector.
• Previous experience in a Pre-Construction, Bid Coordination, Project Coordination, Design Coordination, Commercial Support or similar role.
• Understanding of tendering, procurement and pre-construction processes.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously.
• Commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and project documentation systems.
